AUCTION ADVANCES

TPC Art Finance can provide clients immediate funds in advance of a sale at auction. In such circumstances, the artwork serves as the collateral for the loan. Once sold, proceeds are used to pay-down the loan.

Advance up to 50% of the low estimate.

ACQUISITION FINANCE

TPC Art Finance can offer financing to assist in the purchase of works of art, allowing collectors to seize rare opportunities that may not present themselves again. Please inquire for additional information.

PROCESS

Our extensive experience in finance and the art market enables us to provide a straightforward and streamlined loan process from start to finish. We lend against marketable works of fine art from Old Master, 19th Century, Impressionist and Modern through to Post War and Contemporary art. This also includes American paintings and artists who are more active in the primary market or new to the secondary market. Other areas of collecting are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The process typically involved three stages and loans are typically closed in 2-4 weeks from initial inquiry.

Joe Charalambous has over 10 years’ experience in specialty finance, initially working with a UK based art financing company facilitating their expansion to the US, developing their channels to market and serving as the Vice President of Business Development before joining TPC Art Finance. Joe has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from UWE, Bristol and is located in New York.

Naomi Baigell has over 30 years of art market and finance expertise. Naomi has dedicated her career to educating, originating and developing strategic business opportunities to accelerate access to all aspects of the art market. Prior to joining TPC Art Finance, Naomi helped build a New York based art-backed lending start-up company, was Senior Vice President and Director of Global Corporate Art Services at Sotheby’s Auction House where she advised corporations on strategies to maximize the value sheltered within their art collections to optimize their corporate and client based initiatives, and was in-house curator for Prudential and Prudential Securities.

Angela Jones has 20 years of experience in human resources and regulatory compliance with the past two years at Three Point Capital. Previously, she held positions at Cook-Inlet, Macquarie Bank Group, and Anahau Energy. Angela earned a BA and MBA from the University of Michigan. Angela is located in our California office.

Michael Hansen has 17 years of investment experience with the past eight years at Three Point Caital. Previously, he held positions at UBS and Smith Barney while also operating restaurants and catering companies as a chef. Michael earned a BS in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin. Michael co-founded Three Point Capital with Britt Fletcher and David Gendron in 2009. Michael is located in our New York office.

David Gendron David has 23 years of investment experience with the past eight years at Three Point Capital. Previously, he held positions at Tangram Consulting Group, CIBC World Markets and Credit Lyonnais. David earned a BS in Mathematics and Economics from Providence College and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. David co-founded Three Point Capital with Britt Fletcher and Michael Hansen in 2009. David is located in our California office.

Britt Fletcher has more than 30 years of structured finance experience, primarily dealing with real estate, media assets and tax-advantaged products. Since 2005, he has been the President of Tangram Consulting Group and has overseen billions of dollars of financing. Prior to Tangram, Britt was a Managing Director at CIBC World Markets and was the head of the Structured Media Division. Britt has a B.S. from the University of Washington and a J.D. from Fordham University’s School of Law.
